HOW TO SAVE SWF FILES FROM MOZILLA FIREFOX

For so many months I wasn't able to save some cute swf files from my Mozilla FireFox. I could save it easily from Tools -> Page Info earlier, but due to some unknow reasons I was unable to save that method. I got that golden days back again with the help or the following site:
http://labnol.blogspot.com/2005/11/save-flash-from-firefox-and-ie.html
Their method is simple very simple to geeks and Power Users. Just have a look:

a. Type about:blank in the Firefox address bar
b. Now click List cache entries or directly type about:cache?device=disk (Disk cache device)
c. Press Ctrl+F and try to location the flash file by typing some part of website URL or the flash file name or just .swf. After some hit and trial, you should be able to locate the swf file URL
d. Click the SWF URL to open the Cache Entry Information page. Right click on the link and choose "Save link as"

hi all,

I am having problem while saving the flash files as mentioned here. The problem is that the files are linked and hence run fine when they are run from the site but running the same files from the cache doesn't work as intended. If I run individual .swf files then they run but they don't show any hyperlinks to the next page as it shows while running from the site.

Actually I am preparing a simple tutorial site in flash where several pages are linked. I want to experiment how to download such tutorials completely.

Any help would help me able others download my tutorial site and make them available offline.

thanks!!!!

Ok, Ashu.
There came a lot of changes in flash technology. Most of the flash content developers make long flash movies using the script "loadMovie" where a parent swf file loads several swf movie clips and shows in the stage. I too have faced such problems in downloading such files. But there may be solutions for everything. You just tell me the name of the site in which you are planning to download your tutorials. Let me try to break it...

Hi iqbal Sajid,
Congrats you solved it. But with this method you will get the following link.
www.freepacman.org/pacman.swf
You can smoothly download it. I download the same within some seconds. This file is a single swf file...
